Verse of note:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohiym, and Elohiym was the Word. The same was in the beginning with Elohiym. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
*Got a new Bible (needed a new New Testament) and I’m just so happy about it (it’s so beautiful, it’s so wonderful, and so far I love it). My absolute favorite Bible is a direct translation of the Ancient Hebrew (Torah only) and the other favorite is the JPS Tanakh (for the most part faithfully translated from the Hebrew), so naturally I wanted a New Testament translated from the original Hebrew into English, but alas that is really hard to find. This new Bible is the closest I could find. Disclaimer: this Bible contains books that are not included in the traditional canon, not saying it makes them more or less important or more or less true, just not traditional. If you are a newbie and/or lack discernment please do not purchase this Bible. For example: the book of Chanoch (Enoch) is verifiably significant, but there are parts of the book that are questionable. You will need the Holy Spirit to lead you and guide you.
