No funny smelling yeast flakes, no processed ingredients, just deliciousness. I didn’t even follow the recipe exactly (sunflower seeds instead of cashews, didn’t have any carrots) and it was still top notch. My favorite dish from my childhood–acceptably veganized (and an acceptable cheese sauce to boot).
So for the first of the year I decided to try my hand at the grill for the first time.
It was pretty good, although I would like to find a more natural way to light the grill, and also want to use more natural burning material.
I did cauliflower, zucchini, peppers & onions, portobello mushrooms, and carrot hot dogs.
And for dessert we had red velvet cupcakes (vegan & gluten-free).
We’ve decided not to do a garden this year, which is very fitting because it is a Shemitah year. But we still have our apple trees and fig trees and one of the apple trees has just started to bloom.
