Psalm 106
Verse of note:
There was envy of Moses in the camp, and of Aaron, the holy one of the Lord.

They exchanged their glory for the image of a bull that feeds on grass.

They did not destroy the nations as the Lord commanded them, but mingled with the nations and learned their ways.
Verse of note:
They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; so the land was polluted with bloodguilt.

and so they were brought low by their iniquity.
This chapter is a very succinct and powerful summarized retelling of ancient Israel and where they went wrong.
